Many of us have heard of the Twilight Zone, According to Wikipedia "The phrase "twilight zone" has entered the vernacular, used to describe surreal experiences."
I brought this topic up because as I dwell on my past it doesn't feel "normal," It feels surreal.
I am certain many of you have felt this way, wondering what and why you were abused? Did I deserve this pain and humiliation? For many of us, it was not just a one time occurrence.
You know as I am reflecting on past images, I wonder who in their right mind would abuse a child, much less anyone in the manner I was treated. What kind of monster or demon would have the audacity to want to hurt innocent children. Even to this day, I feel that I was not living with normal people.
I mean really...WTF is wrong with them? Sometimes I feel it should happen to them and see if they like it. Sick, sick, sick...
My husband likes action hero movies like the Avengers, Batman etc...I can remember a scene where Black Widow was kicking these guys butts...thinking if I had her skills, I would never have been abused, and those that tried, well they would definitely regret messing with me.
The sad part is, if I had her skills, the hospital would be fixing a lot of broken bones, amongst other things.
Yeah in my Twilight Zone, my life would have been a lot different.
I am not encouraging people to get revenge, it's that I wish our lives could have been different and that we were shown the love and respect we deserved...as innocent children.
I wrote this post to bond with you on an emotional level, understanding we cannot change the past and I realize that we should never have had to endure the suffering we did and that the world needs to change.
Us, sharing our stories provides comfort and understanding that we will not go quietly in the night, we will stand up for ourselves, we will not let our demons destroy what we care about. We will fight back...WE ARE SURVIVORS!!
We need to tell the world, that we do not and will not condone these transgression.
